Our Mission

At Kingdom Dog Ministries (KDM), we’re on a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through a unique blend of faith, obedience, and companionship—delivered by none other than man’s best friend. Founded by avid outdoorsman Hank Hough, KDM uses the powerful bond between a handler and his hunting dogs to illustrate timeless biblical principles that resonate deeply with men, families, and communities across the country.

Our Story

In 2003, what started as a backyard demonstration quickly grew into a nationwide ministry. With Hank’s first dog, Monk, and later companions Prophet and Bandera, KDM became a “modern-day parable,” demonstrating faith through obedience. These champion Labrador retrievers—trained for precision and loyalty—move beyond the field to churches, civic organizations, schools, and national conferences, bringing a simple yet powerful message: faith isn’t about grand gestures, but about humble obedience and trust in God’s guidance.

Every KDM event is designed to inspire transformation, from audiences of thousands to intimate gatherings. Through live, relatable demonstrations, men struggling with their faith are encouraged to find strength and purpose, while families experience the gospel in action. KDM reminds us that when we choose to surrender, seek God’s truth, and follow with obedience, extraordinary things can happen.

As KDM continues to grow, our mission remains clear: to reach and equip men, encouraging them to lead their families and communities in faith. We invite you to experience KDM for yourself—come, see the dogs in action, and be inspired by the journey of faith, obedience, and the undeniable power of God’s love.

Sniffing out a growing problem

Many men today find themselves spiritually stagnant, caught in a routine of “leftover” spirituality—moments where faith is sidelined in favor of day-to-day obligations and distractions. The pressures of work, family, and society often leave little room for reflection, making it easy to default to a passive relationship with God rather than actively seeking His purpose. This disconnect can lead to a life that feels incomplete, lacking the deeper fulfillment and clarity that comes from a vibrant, active faith. In a world flooded with distractions, finding a way to connect faith with everyday life has become an essential but elusive goal.

Kingdom Dog Ministries (KDM) bridges this gap by bringing the truth of the gospel to life in simple, unforgettable ways. Through powerful, live demonstrations with Hank Hough’s dogs, KDM reveals God’s principles of obedience, trust, and surrender in a way that resonates deeply with men. Rather than relying on complex theology, KDM uses straightforward, relatable examples—like the loyal obedience of a hunting dog to its master—to illustrate the profound lessons of faith. This simplicity cuts through the noise, allowing men to reconnect with God’s truth and see how it applies to their lives in tangible ways. By inspiring men to move beyond passive faith and actively engage with God’s calling, KDM helps them reclaim a purposeful, impactful relationship with Christ.
